Learn the basics of Ballroom and Latin dancing in a fun, relaxed and welcoming class from The Dance Society at Weeke Community Centre. Designed especially for complete beginners, this class is a great introduction to the dances you may recognise from shows such as Strictly Come Dancing. You’ll learn the foundations of Ballroom and Latin dance, including:
- Basic steps
- Timing and rhythm
- Partner techniques
- Coordination and movement
- Confidence on the dance floor
No previous dance experience is needed, and you don’t need to bring a partner. Whether you’ve always wanted to try Ballroom dancing or you’re simply looking for a fun new activity, this class offers a friendly and supportive place to get started.

First class: £5
Following classes: £8 per class Payment can be made by cash or card on the door.
The Dance Society also offers a loyalty stamp scheme, giving regular attendees the opportunity to receive £5 off and earn a free class.
