The centre was built in 1954 by local volunteers, with the aid of donations from the residents of Weeke. Since then the centre has seen many changes and it has developed as a focal point for the surrounding housing estates of Weeke, Harestock and Teg Down. In recent months, the Association Committee embarked on a refurbishment plan for the centre, which has seen the upgrade of the toilet facilities, disabled access and new foyer.
The centre has two halls available for hire and access to full kitchen facilities as well as a fully licensed bar. The halls can be hired for parties, wedding receptions and corporate events, as well as many other social activities. You can hire the hall and organise your event yourselves or give us the details of your event, available budget and let us do the rest. We have access to full party and wedding room decoration services, catering services, disco’s, live bands and many other such facilities.
Our rooms play host to many local clubs and societies, which use the centre as their base; running classes in everything from Karate and Line dancing, to needlework. To see what’s on, please visit our Calendar.
